The Fabulous Milkshake Festival 2015 in Amsterdam

Do you remember the famous song of Kelis from a few years back stating “my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, and they’re like, it’s better than yours…” This rather old but catchy ear worm started playing in our heads as our dedicated travel team at HostelsClub heard about Milkshake Festival in Amsterdam!

The fourth edition of Milkshake Festival will take place in Westerpark, Amsterdam on Sunday 19th July 2015. Celebrating the love “for boys who love girls who love girls who love boys who love boys …., this gorgeous dance festival indeed screams for equal love and tolerance. The message couldn’t be more clear – just arrive as you are, whether it’ll be black or white, straight, gay or trans, tall, short or slim! There’s plenty of space for everyone to party and celebrate the beauty of different kinds of people forming all the colours of the rainbow.

One of the main thoughts behind the festival is that “everything is possible” and since we believe life is supposed to be a darn big party, it’s better live it to the fullest and take all the best out of it. We cannot really imagine a better city for this type of celebration than Amsterdam with its atmosphere and image of pure freedom!

Wondering how to get to the venue where all the magic happens? For example, from Amsterdam Central station you take bus 21 to the festival site on Cultuurpark Westergasfabriek. There will also be a nightbus service (bus number 348). From the city centre you can easily take tram 10 to Van Hallstraat. Parking facilities are limited in this area of Amsterdam, but if you plan to arrive by car, park in Q-park Westerpark at the Van Bleijswijkstraat 8.

And last but not the least, we are more than curious to know what exactly is the “Delicious Unicorn Area” mentioned on the festival’s official website!
