Sitges Carnival – The Gayest Party of the Year!

Sitges Carnival is the wildest gay festival in Spain and attracts 250, 000 party lovers each year. Europe’s gay capital is situated 35 km south of Barcelona, and the seaside resort takes pride in throwing one of the loudest and most spectacular parties in Spain – one that lasts a whole week!

Sitgnes Carnival Parade

Sitges Carnival 2015 takes place from Tuesday 10th of February – Wed 18th of February. Most people attend the pre-Lent festival for the Tuesday night’s Extermination Parade (starting at around 19:30 along rua de l‘Extermini) or the more serene Debauchery Parade (along rua de la Disbauxa) on Sunday.

Bring a mask and forget yourself for one fabulous night on the tiles. During the main parades you will see thousands of party lovers dancing in the streets. Sitges Carnival is the European gay festival you don’t want to miss in a hurry!

Sheltered by the Garraf Massif mountain range, Sitges has a unique micro climate and is generally warm all year round. Perfect as a day trip from Barcelona, the Catalan town has gorgeous seafront views for anyone wanting to chill out after a long day drinking.
