In the past few weeks we dedicated a post to Venice, explaining what it is like visiting the Venice Film Festival on a shoestring budget. But during the beginning of September, another unmissable event happens in Venice: The Regata Storica!
We do not want to bore you telling you about its orgins and its history, we would just like to give you the chance to attend The Regata Storica through 10 beautiful Instagram photos even if you are not physically there (the race will be Sunday, September 6) … you will not regret it! 🙂
1 – Have you ever seen an orchestra with a view like this one? Sit down and enjoy it!
2 – There are a lot of memories spread all over the city
3 – Typical Venetian boats parade on the Grand Canal
4 – Even boats get stuck in traffic!
5 – The parade, once it starts, is amazing and unique
6 – Of course you can party … Spritz was born right here!
7 – Rare and colorful boats decorated by hand are something you have to see
The Regata Storica di Venezia, a few years back, I flew in from the U.S. West coast, landed in the morning, checked in, freshened up & immediately went to my reserved seat in the stands to watch the Regata Storica. I was so tired by the end, sitting in the hot sun, with only a few hours of sleep on the plane within the last 24 + hours, but it was so worth it. #venice #venezia #regatastorica #adayinvenice #ilovevenice #loves_venezia #myvenice #mytravelaffairs #passionpassport #bbctravel #postcardsfromtheworld #dreameurotrip #dreamdestination #yourtrips #globejetsetter #aroundtheworld #amazingplaces #traveler_stories #5secondvacay #grandcanal #gondola #yahootravel #tripadvisor #livetravelchannel #travelabout #travelmemories #photographyismypassion #bbctravel #wanderlust #huffposttravel
8 – The canal banks are filled with spectators
9 – There’s also the Gondola Race, the heart of the Historical Regatta
10 – Venice is always a place to visit, but during the Historical Regatta… even more!
