Berlin illuminated: the Festival of Lights 2016

Berlin will be transformed into a light show this October, when the city becomes a magical playground beaming with kaleidoscopic colour. The German capital puts on a new face every autumn, one that is bright and full of energy. You can see it, you can feel it, but you cannot escape it because it’s everywhere.

For 17 days, more than 70 structures, including government buildings, bridges and iconic landmarks, will be re-imagined by international artists and light designers.
