The Venice Film festival is coming to an end… Tomorrow the Golden Lion will be awarded to the most worthy feature film in 2009 official selection. The jury lead by the president Ang Lee will decide but the word on the street talks in favour of Lebanon by Samuel Maoz, Life During Wartime by Todd Solendz and Tom Ford´s The Single Man, premiering tonight.. Me I think Michael Moore could have a chance, like he proved in Cannes with Farneheit. Also as an politial statement to the world.
A shortfilm out of competition by the Italian actor Paolo Sassanelli, titled Uerra, a post-war drama comedy set 1947 was an aboslute delight and should have been in the competiton! Hope the shortfilm of 16 minutes will have a long life touring around the world and be broadcast on TV in many countries.
Next year, the film festival will be back again. Remember to book your accommodation in time at Hostelsclub.com.
